The 2019 Craft Show turned out to be a fun community building experience for everyone involved. Shoppers, Crafters, Vendors, and Volunteers had a great day.
This annual event takes place the first Saturday in December. Our craft show is part of the North Ridgeville “Holiday on the Ridge”. Besides being a fun shopping experience this is a wonderful time of fellowship and holiday cheer.
More than 60 vendors and crafters sign up for this popular Christmas Craft show. Attendance topped 800 shoppers last year. Our Craft show is very well attended because of the fabulous crafters and vendors we attract and the amazing volunteers who make the day a wonder time to be together.

In the past we have ...
Provided money to rent vans for Catholic Heart Work Camp in Virginia Beach
Bought cots for Family Promise (Transitional Housing Program).
Lowered the cost of registration for youth group activities and trips
Here is how it works
Our crack team of volunteers sets up all available tables in the classrooms of our catechetical center.
Teens volunteer to unload crafter's wares, and welcome them to our facility with youthful energy and a friendly smile.
Crafters and vendors look forward to hot coffee and a well stocked cafe throughout their day, with happy elves taking food orders and delivering hot meals. (Our chili and cabbage and noodles are legendary.)
Shoppers arrive and are given a door prize ticket in exchange for a $1 entrance fee. The ticket can be matched to winning items at each crafter/vendor table.

Craft Show Committee
There are seven main craft show staff members. We begin meeting in July and meet through November at least once a month before the craft show in December. Then we meet again in February or March to review how things went and talk about how we can improve upon our craft show the upcoming year. We always have an appreciation dinner to celebrate our successful show.
What are Planning Meetings Like?
We discuss how many crafters and vendors we have signed up and what we can do to improve our craft show. We talk about price, documentation, how we get the information out to the community and public, what food to buy and how much, and who (if anyone) is donating the food. We talk about how to find crafters and vendors for our craft show, how many volunteers we have, and determine their duties and responsibilities.
What Can a Volunteer Do?
The talents of our volunteers are phenomenal.
We have volunteers working on ...
Sending out contracts and contract information and confirmation letters
Decorating the inside and outside the church
Making fun decorations
Hanging craft show signs
Setting up and taking down the crafter/vendor tables
Making sure we do not have duplicate crafters and vendors
Organizing seating arrangement and lunch tables in the church
Helping the crafters and vendors bring in and take out their products
Buying food, making food, selling food
Selling tickets at the door
Quickly cleaning up the church before 5 pm Mass
