First Holy Communion

First Holy Communion preparations begin with religious instructions at home, supplemented by classes in the Parish School of Religion (PSR) program. The usual  time to receive First Holy Communion is the spring of Second grade. Parents of the candidates attend several special classes in the Fall and Spring of their child's Second grade PSR year.  Students entering our PSR program without having made their First communion are entered into an individualized program, called the Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC).

   Visits to the Homebound

Eucharistic Ministers volunteer to take communion to parishioners, every week, who are homebound due to illness or age. The ministry gives those unable to attend Mass a chance to receive communion and stay in touch with the parish community. Coordinator is Joyce Becker at 440.327.1978

    Eucharistic Adoration

The Blessed Sacrament is solemnly exposed to public adoration every first Friday in the parish Chapel. Devotions begin at 8:00 a.m. with prayers for vocations, followed by Mass and Rosary. Adoration continues  until Benediction at 4:30 p.m. All parishioners are encouraged to make a holy half-hour of private prayer sometime during the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 P.M.
