    St. Julie Billiart parish was established on August 15, 1978, the feast of the Assumption of Mary.  Father Gonser was appointed as the founding pastor, given the deed to 14 wooded acres, and told to go forth and multiply.  The boundaries of our parish are the three square miles of the northeast quadrant of the city of North Ridgeville.  We have grown from 200 families to over 600 families in 31 years.  Many of our parishioners come from 17 cities in the surrounding area. And that is why we are known as "the parish of choice."  
     We continue our mission to reach out to all who are searching for a strong, vibrant, active faith community.  We invite you "come visit the little church in the woods."
     Our parish is one of 15 parishes worldwide named in honor of St. Julie Billiart.  Julie was a French woman who established the order of nuns in the 1800's and known today as the Notre Dames.  She was canonized by Pope
Paul VI on June 22, 1969
